Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Machine won't run Power issue, foot control disconnected Check power cord connection, ensure foot control is plugged in
Thread breaking Incorrect threading, damaged needle, tension too tight Re-thread completely, replace needle, reduce upper tension
Skipped stitches Wrong needle type, bent needle, incorrect threading Use correct needle for fabric, replace needle, check threading
Bobbin thread bunching Bobbin inserted incorrectly, bobbin case needs cleaning Reinsert bobbin following direction arrows, clean bobbin area
Uneven stitches Incorrect tension, poor quality thread, dirty feed dogs Adjust tension settings, use quality thread, clean feed dogs
Machine jams Thread jam in bobbin area, lint buildup Remove needle plate, clean bobbin area, remove tangled thread

Common Issues & Solutions

  • Needle breaks: Usually caused by pulling fabric, wrong needle size, or hitting pins - Replace needle and sew slowly
  • Fabric not feeding: Check presser foot pressure, clean feed dogs, ensure presser foot is lowered
  • Noisy operation: Needs oiling (3 drops in designated oil points), remove lint buildup
  • Buttonhole malfunctions: Ensure buttonhole lever is engaged, use stabilizer for lightweight fabrics
  • Stitch selector not working: Clean touch buttons with rubbing alcohol, check for debris
  • Motor runs but needle doesn't move: Handwheel may be disengaged - push handwheel inward to engage
