Stitch Selection and Applications

Select stitches based on fabric type and sewing task.

  1. Straight Stitch (00): General sewing, seams. Adjust length for fabric weight.
  2. Zigzag Stitch (02-06): Finishing edges, sewing stretch fabrics, appliqué.
  3. Blind Hem Stitch (07): Nearly invisible hems on garments.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

Proper threading is essential for smooth operation.

  1. Upper Threading: Place spool on holder. Follow numbered guides from spool pin, through tension discs, to take-up lever, and finally through needle eye using automatic threader.
  2. Bobbin Winding: Place empty bobbin on winder spindle. Thread from spool through bobbin winding tension guide. Engage bobbin winder (usually by pushing bobbin to the right). Press foot pedal to wind. Stop when bobbin is full.
  3. Inserting Bobbin: Open bobbin cover. Drop bobbin into case with thread unwinding counterclockwise. Pull thread through slot and under tension spring. Close cover.

WARNING! Ensure machine is turned off or needle is in highest position when threading. Do not force thread through guides.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug machine before cleaning. Regular maintenance ensures longevity.

  1. Cleaning: Remove lint and dust from bobbin area, feed dogs, and needle plate using the provided brush.
  2. Oiling: Refer to manual for specific oiling points. Use only high-quality sewing machine oil.
  3. Needle Replacement: Replace bent or dull needles regularly. Insert with flat side to the back.
  4. Storage: Cover machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air to clean lint as it can force debris into mechanics. Do not oil plastic parts.
