Unpacking & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  2. Attach the foot pedal: Connect the pedal cord to the machine's pedal jack.
  3. Connect power: Plug the power cord into the machine and then into a standard 120V outlet.
  4. Install the accessory tray: Snap into place on the free arm area.
  5. Wind and insert the bobbin: Follow the threading diagram on the machine.
  6. Thread the upper thread: Use the built-in needle threader for assistance.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from the needle area during operation. Always unplug the machine when not in use or during maintenance.

First-Time Operation

Plug in the machine and turn the handwheel toward you to raise the needle to its highest position.

  1. Select a stitch: Turn the stitch selector dial to the desired pattern (e.g., straight stitch).
  2. Place fabric: Lower the presser foot lever to hold fabric in place.
  3. Start sewing: Gently press the foot pedal to begin. Control speed with pedal pressure.

CAUTION! Do not force the handwheel. If it becomes difficult to turn, check for thread jams or incorrect bobbin placement.
