Unpacking and Setup

Unpack all contents carefully. Place machine on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from box and all protective packaging materials.
  2. Attach the foot pedal: Plug the foot pedal cord into the port on the right side of the machine.
  3. Connect power: Plug the power cord into the back of the machine, then into a standard 120V AC outlet.
  4. Install the accessory tray: Slide the removable accessory tray onto the free arm until it clicks into place.
  5. Wind and insert the bobbin: Follow the diagram on the machine to wind the bobbin and place it in the bobbin case.
  6. Thread the machine: Follow the numbered threading path printed on the machine and use the built-in needle threader.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from the needle area during setup and operation. Ensure the machine is unplugged during initial assembly.

First-Time Operation

Plug in the machine and turn on the power switch (located on the right side).

  1. Select a stitch: Turn the stitch selection dial to choose your desired stitch (e.g., straight stitch #1).
  2. Adjust stitch length/width: Set the stitch length dial to 2.5 mm for general sewing. Adjust width if using zigzag.
  3. Place fabric: Lower the presser foot lever to hold fabric in place.
  4. Start sewing: Gently press the foot pedal to begin. Use the reverse lever to backstitch at the start and end.
  5. Practice: Use scrap fabric to test stitches and tension before starting your project.

CAUTION! Always turn the handwheel toward you (counter-clockwise) to avoid timing issues. Never pull fabric while needle is in the material.

  5. Decorative Stitches (15-23): For embellishing projects. Use with appropriate width and length.
  6. 4-Step Buttonhole (marked A-B-C-D):
    • Step A: Sew the left side.
    • Step B: Sew the bottom bar tack.
    • Step C: Sew the right side.

Maintenance & Cleaning

  1. Daily: Remove lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs using the small brush provided. Unplug the machine first.
