Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine and accessories from packaging.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into a 120V AC outlet.
  3. Attach foot pedal to machine and place on floor.
  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to the back, tighten screw.
  5. Attach presser foot: Raise presser foot lever, snap foot into place.

WARNING! Machine is heavy; lift with care. Ensure all parts are securely attached.

First-Time Use

Power on machine; follow steps to thread and test.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winder tension, press bobbin onto winder shaft, engage bobbin winder, press foot pedal.

Threading the Machine

Tip: Ensure presser foot is raised when threading to open tension discs.

Stitch Selection and Settings

WARNING! Do not change stitch selection while needle is in fabric.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  2. Use lint brush to clean feed dogs and bobbin area.
  3. Oil machine as per manual instructions (use only Singer sewing machine oil).
  4. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.
