Unpacking and Setup

Carefully unpack all components. Place machine on a stable, well-lit table.

  1. Remove protective packaging and foam from needle area and bobbin case.

First-Time Operation

  3. Threading the Upper Thread: Raise presser foot. Follow numbered guide on machine from spool pin, through tension discs, take-up lever, and down to the needle. Thread needle from front to back.
  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread tail, turn handwheel toward you to lower and raise needle, pull upper thread to bring bobbin thread up through needle plate.
  5. Select Stitch: Turn the Stitch Selection Dial to your desired pattern (e.g., straight stitch).
  6. Begin Sewing: Place fabric under presser foot, lower presser foot lever, and gently press foot pedal.

CAUTION! Always turn the handwheel toward you (counter-clockwise) only. Never force it.
