Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, level surface.

  1. Remove machine from box: Lift by the carrying handle, not by the handwheel.

  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to the back, tighten screw.

First-Time Operation

Threading and Bobbin Winding

Upper Threading: 1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position. 2. Place spool on spool pin. 3. Follow numbered guides: through first thread guide, around tension discs, through take-up lever, down to needle. 4. Thread needle from front to back.

Bobbin Winding: 1. Place empty bobbin on winder spindle. 2. Guide thread from spool through bobbin winder tension disc. 3. Push bobbin winder to right until it clicks. 4. Hold thread end, press foot control to wind. 5. Stop when bobbin is full, cut thread, push winder back.

Inserting Bobbin: 1. Open bobbin cover. 2. Drop bobbin in with thread unwinding counterclockwise. 3. Pull thread through slot and under tension spring. 4. Close cover.

Basic Sewing Techniques

  1. Straight Stitch: Select straight stitch symbol. Set length 2-3. Sew with fabric edge aligned with seam guide.
  2. Zigzag Stitch: Select zigzag symbol. Adjust width as needed. Use for finishing edges or stretch fabrics.
  3. Buttonhole: Attach buttonhole foot. Select step 1 (right side), sew. Step 2 (bartack). Step 3 (left side). Step 4 (bartack).
  4. Blind Hem: Fold fabric as per manual. Select blind hem stitch. Sew with folded edge against guide.
  5. Reverse Sewing: Hold reverse lever to sew backwards at start and end of seam.
  6. Free Arm Sewing: Remove accessory storage box to access free arm for sleeves and cuffs.
