Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging: Lift machine by carrying handle; remove all protective materials.
  2. Attach power cord: Plug power cord into machine and into grounded electrical outlet.
  3. Install foot controller: Connect foot controller to machine port; place on floor.
  4. Attach accessory tray: Slide accessory tray into position on free arm.
  5. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during setup and operation. Ensure machine is unplugged when threading or changing needle.

First-Time Operation

Plug in machine and turn power switch ON.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winding tension, place bobbin on winder, press foot controller.
  2. Insert bobbin: Open bobbin cover, drop bobbin into case with thread unwinding counterclockwise, pull thread through slot.
  3. Thread upper thread: Raise presser foot, follow numbered threading path on machine, use automatic needle threader.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired stitch pattern.
  5. Test sew: Place fabric under presser foot, lower presser foot lever, gently press foot controller to start sewing.

CAUTION! Always turn handwheel toward you (counterclockwise) to avoid timing issues. Never force handwheel.

Threading & Bobbin Winding

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  1. Upper threading: Raise presser foot, place thread on spool pin, follow numbered path, use automatic needle threader.
  2. Bobbin winding: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winding tension, place empty bobbin on winder, press foot controller to wind.
  3. Bobbin insertion: Open bobbin cover, drop bobbin in with thread unwinding counterclockwise, pull thread through slot and under tension spring.
  4. Bring up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until needle goes down and up, pull upper thread to bring bobbin thread up through needle plate.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading upper thread to allow thread to seat properly in tension discs.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug machine before cleaning. Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Cleaning: Remove needle plate screws, lift off needle plate, use small brush to remove lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.
  2. Oiling: Apply 1-2 drops of sewing machine oil to hook race and moving parts as indicated in manual (do not use household oil).
  3. Needle replacement: Replace needle after every project or if dull/bent. Insert with flat side to back.
  4. Storage: Cover machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air to clean machine as it can force lint deeper into mechanism.
