Threading and Bobbin Winding

Proper threading is essential for good stitch quality.

  5. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, guide thread, push bobbin to right, press foot controller.
  6. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into compartment with thread unwinding counter-clockwise; pull thread through slot.

WARNING! Ensure machine is off when threading. Pull thread gently to avoid breakage.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Unplug machine before any maintenance.
  2. Remove needle plate screws and lift off plate.
  3. Use small brush to remove lint and dust from feed dogs, bobbin area, and hook race.
  4. Apply a drop of sewing machine oil to hook race and other moving parts as indicated in manual (do not over-oil).
  5. Replace needle regularly (every 8-10 hours of sewing).
  6. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air to clean as it can force lint deeper. Never immerse machine in water.
