Unpacking and Setup

  3. Thread the upper thread: Raise the presser foot and needle to highest position. Follow the numbered threading path on the machine, ending by using the built-in needle threader.
  4. Select a stitch: Turn the Stitch Selector Dial to the desired pattern (e.g., Straight Stitch).
  5. Test sew: Place fabric under the presser foot, lower the foot, and gently press the foot controller to begin sewing.

CAUTION! Keep fingers away from the needle while sewing. Always turn the handwheel towards you (counter-clockwise).

  6. Press and hold the Reverse Lever to backstitch at the beginning and end of a seam for reinforcement.

  1. Four-Step Buttonhole: Attach the Buttonhole Foot. Set dial to Step 1 (right side), sew. Step 2 (front bar tack). Step 3 (left side). Step 4 (front bar tack).
  2. Zipper Insertion: Use the Zipper Foot. Baste zipper area. Attach foot, aligning needle to left or right of foot as needed. Stitch slowly along the zipper tape.
