Threading & Bobbin Winding

Proper threading is essential for smooth operation.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place thread spool on spool pin; secure with spool cap if needed.
  3. Follow numbered guides: Right to left, down through tension discs, up and into take-up lever, down to needle.

  5. Bobbin winding: Place empty bobbin on spindle, push to right, guide thread from spool through bobbin winding tension, wrap thread around bobbin, hold end, press foot pedal to wind. Stop when full.
  6. Insert bobbin: Open cover, drop in bobbin (thread counterclockwise), pull thread under tension spring and to the right.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading to open tension discs.

  2. Use small brush to remove lint and thread bits from bobbin case, feed dogs, and tension discs.
  3. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.
  4. Oil sparingly as per manual instructions (specific points only).
  5. Replace needle regularly (after 8-10 hours of sewing or for each new project).

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air or liquids. Never oil without consulting manual.
