Maintenance Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Small brush set
  • Lint brush
  • Sewing machine oil
  • Cleaning cloths
  • Needle nose pliers

Regular Maintenance Schedule

  1. Daily Cleaning: Remove lint and dust from bobbin area and feed dogs after each use.
  2. Weekly Oil Application: Apply sewing machine oil to designated points as shown in the diagram.
  3. Monthly Deep Clean: Remove needle plate and clean bobbin case area thoroughly.
  4. Needle Replacement: Change needle after every 8 hours of sewing or with each new project.
  5. Bobbin Case Maintenance: Clean and oil bobbin case monthly for smooth operation.
  6. Tension Adjustment Check: Monthly check and adjustment of upper and lower thread tension.
  7. Motor Brush Inspection: Check motor brushes every 6 months for wear and replace if necessary.
Warning: Always unplug the sewing machine before performing any maintenance. Use only Singer-approved oils and parts.

Troubleshooting
