Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from packaging and all protective materials.
  2. Attach power cord to machine and plug into 120V AC outlet.
  3. Install foot controller into designated port.
  4. Attach presser foot by lowering presser foot lever and snapping foot into place.
  5. Raise needle to highest position using handwheel.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during setup. Ensure machine is unplugged when attaching accessories.

First-Time Use

Prepare machine for initial sewing session.

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread spool on spindle, thread through bobbin winding tension, and wind bobbin evenly.
  2. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread unwinding counterclockwise.
  3. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered threading path on machine, use automatic needle threader if available.
  4. Select stitch: Turn stitch selector dial to desired pattern.

Threading & Bobbin Winding

Proper threading ensures smooth operation.

  1. Upper Threading: Follow numbered path from spool pin to needle. Use automatic threader by pulling lever down and hooking thread through needle eye.
  2. Bobbin Winding: Place spool on spindle, thread through bobbin winding tension, place empty bobbin on winder, push bobbin winder to right, press foot controller.
  3. Bobbin Insertion: Drop bobbin into case with thread unwinding counterclockwise. Pull thread through slot and under tension spring.
  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until needle goes down and up, pull upper thread to bring bobbin thread up.

WARNING! Ensure machine is turned off when threading. Keep fingers away from needle.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Unplug machine before cleaning.
  2. Remove needle plate screws and clean lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.
  3. Use small brush to remove dust and lint from tension discs and thread path.
  4. Oil machine as per manual instructions (specific points indicated in diagram).
  5. Replace needle regularly (every 8-10 hours of sewing).

CAUTION! Use only sewing machine oil. Do not use household oils. Never spray cleaners directly on machine.
