Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable table.

  1. Remove machine from box: Lift by carrying handle; remove all packaging.
  2. Attach foot pedal: Plug into port on right side of machine.
  3. Connect power: Plug power cord into machine and wall outlet (110V).
  4. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp, insert needle flat side back, tighten.
  5. Attach presser foot: Lift lever, snap foot into place.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Unplug when not in use.

First-Time Operation

  1. Wind bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winder, press pedal.

CAUTION! Always start with needle at highest position. Keep hands clear of moving needle.

Basic Settings: For straight stitch, set width to 0. For zigzag, adjust width as needed. Always test on scrap fabric first.

Stitch Selection and Adjustment

Select stitch via dial; adjust length/width for fabric.

  1. Straight Stitch (1): General sewing; set length 2.5mm for medium fabrics.
  2. Zigzag Stitch (2-4): Seam finishing, appliqué; adjust width 3-5mm.
  3. Blind Hem Stitch (5): Hemming; fold fabric as per manual.
  4. Decorative Stitches (6-9): For embellishment; use stabilizer.
  5. Buttonhole (10): 4-step process; mark fabric, follow steps A-D.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread loops up; pull both threads under foot.

WARNING! Ensure machine is off when threading. Do not force dials.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug before maintenance. Clean lint regularly.

  1. Remove needle plate: Use screwdriver to loosen screws; lift plate.
  2. Clean feed dogs and bobbin area: Use brush to remove lint and threads.
  3. Oil machine: Apply 1-2 drops of sewing machine oil to moving parts as per manual (do not over-oil).
  4. Replace needle: Change needle after every project or if dull/bent.
