Specifications

Controls and Functions

Main Controls: Power Switch/ Light, Stitch Selector Dial, Stitch Length Dial, Stitch Width Dial, Reverse Stitch Lever, Bobbin Winder, Handwheel.

Operation Panel: Clearly marked dials and levers for easy access. The stitch selector dial shows all 32 stitches with corresponding numbers. The stitch length dial adjusts from 0 to 4 (mm). The stitch width dial adjusts from 0 to 5 (mm) for zigzag and decorative stitches.

Presser Feet: Lower/Lift Lever, Quick Change System. Use the lever to raise and lower the presser foot. To change feet, raise the presser foot lifter fully, press the button on the back of the foot holder, and snap the new foot into place.

Stitch Selection & Settings

Refer to the Stitch Chart on the machine or manual.

  1. Select Stitch: Turn the stitch selector dial to the desired pattern number.
  2. Adjust Length: For straight stitches, a setting of 2.5 is standard. For basting or gathering, use a longer length (3-4).
  3. Adjust Width: For zigzag stitches, adjust width for seam finishing or satin stitching. Set to 0 for straight stitches.
  4. Test on Scrap Fabric: Always test stitch settings on a scrap of your project fabric.

Tip: Use shorter stitch lengths for finer fabrics and curves, longer lengths for basting and heavy fabrics.

Threading & Bobbin Winding

Correct threading is essential for proper stitch formation.

  1. Main Threading: Raise the presser foot and needle to highest position. Follow the numbered path: Spool Pin > Thread Guides > Tension Discs > Take-up Lever > Needle Bar Thread Guide. Use the automatic needle threader.
  2. Bobbin Winding: Place spool on pin. Guide thread through bobbin winder tension guide. Place empty bobbin on winder spindle. Push spindle to the right to engage. Hold thread end, press foot controller. Stop when full. Cut thread and push spindle left.
  3. Inserting Bobbin: Open the bobbin cover. Drop in the bobbin so the thread unwinds counterclockwise. Pull the thread into the slot and under the tension spring. Close the cover.
  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold the needle thread. Turn the handwheel toward you until the needle goes down and comes up. Pull the needle thread to bring the bobbin loop up. Pull both threads under and behind the presser foot.

WARNING! Ensure the presser foot is raised when threading the upper thread to allow the thread to seat properly in the tension discs.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug the machine before any maintenance.

  1. Regular Cleaning: Remove the needle plate, bobbin case, and bobbin. Use the small brush provided to remove lint and dust from the feed dogs, bobbin area, and tension discs.
  2. Oiling: This model is pre-lubricated and does not require regular oiling by the user. Refer to the manual for specific long-term service instructions.
  3. Needle Replacement: Replace the needle regularly (after every project or 8 hours of sewing). Insert a new needle with the flat side facing the back, tighten the screw firmly.
  4. Storage: Cover the machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air to clean the machine as it can force lint deeper into the mechanism.
