Machine Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

Stitch Selection & Settings

Threading & Bobbin Winding

Proper threading is essential for optimal performance.

  1. Raise presser foot and needle to highest position.
  2. Place thread spool on spool pin; follow numbered threading path on machine.
  3. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread, release lever to pull thread through needle eye.
  4. Bobbin winding: Disengage needle mechanism, place thread on spool pin, wind bobbin evenly.
  5. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into compartment with thread unwinding counterclockwise; pull thread through slot.

WARNING! Always turn power off during threading. Ensure bobbin is inserted correctly to prevent jamming.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Regular maintenance ensures longevity.

  1. Clean lint from bobbin area and feed dogs after each project.
  2. Oil machine as per manual instructions (use only Singer recommended oil).
  3. Replace needle regularly (after 8-10 hours of sewing).
