Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine and accessories from packaging.
  2. Attach the power cord to the machine and plug into a 120V AC outlet.
  3. Attach the foot pedal to the designated port on the machine.
  4. Install the needle (flat side to the back) and tighten the screw.
  5. Raise the presser foot and place a spool of thread on the spool pin.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from the needle area during setup and operation. Ensure the machine is unplugged when threading or changing accessories.

First-Time Operation

Plug in the machine and turn on the power switch.

  1. Thread the machine: Follow the numbered threading path on the machine; use the automatic needle threader.
  2. Wind the bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through tension disc, and wind onto bobbin using the bobbin winding function.
  3. Insert the bobbin: Place wound bobbin into the top drop-in case with thread pulling counterclockwise.
  4. Select a stitch: Turn the stitch selection dial to choose your desired stitch (e.g., straight stitch #1).
  5. Practice sewing: Place fabric under the presser foot, lower the foot, and gently press the foot pedal to start sewing.

CAUTION! Always start with the needle in the highest position. Do not pull fabric; let the feed dogs move it.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

  3. Follow numbered threading guide: through thread guides, tension discs, and take-up lever.
  4. Use automatic needle threader: Lower lever, hook thread, release lever to pull thread through needle eye.
  5. Bobbin winding: Disengage clutch by pulling handwheel outward, place thread on spool pin, wind onto bobbin, then re-engage clutch.
  6. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread pulling counterclockwise; pull thread under tension spring.

WARNING! Ensure machine is turned off or unplugged during threading to prevent accidental starts.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Unplug machine before any maintenance.

  1. Cleaning: Remove needle plate screws; use small brush to remove lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.
  2. Oiling: Apply one drop of sewing machine oil to the hook race and other moving parts as indicated in the diagram (if required).
  3. Needle: Replace needle regularly (every 8-10 hours of sewing) or if bent/dull.
