LCD Screen Displays: Selected stitch number, recommended presser foot, stitch length, stitch width, and error messages.

Stitch Selection and Settings

Use the stitch selection dial to choose from utility, stretch, decorative, and buttonhole stitches.

  1. Turn the dial to the desired stitch number (refer to stitch chart).
  2. The LCD will show the default length/width and recommended foot.
  3. Adjust length/width using the buttons if needed.
  4. For buttonholes: Select the one-step buttonhole, place fabric under foot, and follow the automatic sequence.
  5. Always test stitch settings on a fabric scrap first.

Tip: Lower the feed dogs when darning or free-motion quilting. Use the appropriate presser foot for the selected stitch.

Threading and Bobbin Winding

Correct threading is essential for proper stitch formation.

  1. Winding the Bobbin: Place spool on pin, guide thread through tension disc, wind onto empty bobbin. Machine will stop automatically when full.
  2. Inserting the Bobbin: Place full bobbin in case with thread pulling counter-clockwise. Drop case into compartment; thread should snap into the tension spring.
  3. Upper Threading: Follow the numbered path from spool pin to needle. Use the automatic needle threader lever for the final step.
  4. Drawing Up Bobbin Thread: Hold the upper thread tail, turn the handwheel toward you until the needle goes down and up, then pull the upper thread to bring the bobbin loop up.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading the upper thread to open the tension discs. Use the same thread type in the bobbin and needle for best results.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the machine before any cleaning or maintenance.

  1. Cleaning: Use the small brush provided to remove lint from the bobbin area, feed dogs, and needle plate. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
  2. Oiling: This machine is permanently lubricated at the factory. Do not oil unless specified in the manual for specific points (refer to maintenance section).
  3. Needle Replacement: Turn power off. Loosen the needle clamp screw, remove old needle, insert new needle with flat side to the back, and tighten screw firmly.
  4. Storage: Cover the machine when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.

CAUTION! Never use compressed air to clean lint, as it can force debris into the motor. Never immerse the machine in water.
