Unpacking and Setup

First-Time Operation

Before sewing, complete initial setup and threading.

  1. Wind the bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through tension disc, and wind bobbin.
  2. Insert bobbin: Place bobbin in case with thread pulling counterclockwise, then insert into bobbin housing.
  3. Thread the upper thread: Follow numbered guides from spool to needle, using automatic needle threader.
  4. Raise bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you to bring up bobbin thread.
  5. Select stitch: Turn stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  6. Test sew: Use scrap fabric to check tension and stitch quality.

CAUTION! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always turn off and unplug when not in use.

  2. Bobbin Winding: Place thread on spool pin, guide through pre-tension disc, wrap around bobbin 3-4 times, push bobbin winder to right, press foot controller.
  3. Bobbin Insertion: Place bobbin in case with thread pulling counterclockwise. Insert into bobbin housing until it clicks.
  4. Thread Tension: Adjust dial for balanced stitches. Higher numbers for tighter tension.

WARNING! Ensure machine is off when threading. Always raise presser foot when threading upper thread.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity.

  1. Unplug machine before any maintenance.
  2. Remove needle plate screws and clean lint from feed dogs and bobbin area with brush provided.
  3. Oil moving parts as indicated in manual (use only sewing machine oil).
  4. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  5. Replace needle regularly (after 8-10 hours of sewing or when dull).
  6. Check belt tension periodically if machine has belt drive.
