Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface at comfortable working height.

Remove all packaging materials and protective covers.
Attach foot pedal to machine and plug into power outlet.
Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, thread through tension disc, press foot pedal.
Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread running counterclockwise.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug machine when not in use or during maintenance.

First-Time Use

Power on machine; follow threading guide printed on machine.

Raise presser foot using lever.
Thread upper thread: Follow numbered path from spool pin to needle.
Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down and hook thread through needle eye.
Pull up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread appears.
Place both threads under presser foot toward back of machine.
Select straight stitch for practice sewing.

CAUTION! Always use proper needle for fabric type. Replace bent or dull needles immediately.

Controls and Functions

Threading & Bobbin

Bobbin Winding: Place spool on pin, thread through guides, wind evenly.
Bobbin Insertion: Drop bobbin into case with thread running counterclockwise.
Thread Pick-up: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel to bring up bobbin thread.

WARNING! Always raise presser foot when threading. Lower presser foot before sewing.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Remove needle plate screws and clean lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.

Troubleshooting
