Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface at comfortable working height.

  1. Remove all packaging materials and protective covers.
  2. Attach foot pedal to machine and plug into power outlet.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to back, tighten screw.
  4. Wind bobbin: Place empty bobbin on winder, thread through tension disc, press foot pedal.
  5. Insert bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread running counterclockwise.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during operation. Always unplug machine when not in use or during maintenance.

First-Time Use

Power on machine; follow threading guide printed on machine.

  1. Raise presser foot using lever.
  2. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered path from spool pin to needle.
  3. Use automatic needle threader: Push lever down and hook thread through needle eye.
  4. Pull up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you until bobbin thread appears.
  5. Place both threads under presser foot toward back of machine.
  6. Select straight stitch for practice sewing.

CAUTION! Always use proper needle for fabric type. Replace bent or dull needles immediately.

Controls and Functions

Access functions via stitch selection dial, buttons, and levers. Front Panel: Power switch, stitch selection dial, stitch length/width controls, reverse button, needle up/down button.

Stitch Selection: Turn dial to select stitch pattern. LCD display shows stitch number and recommended settings.

Stitch Length: Adjust from 0-4mm for shorter/longer stitches. Stitch Width: Adjust from 0-7mm for zigzag and decorative stitches. Reverse: Hold button for reinforcing stitches. Needle Position: Use lever to set needle to left, center, or right position. Tension: Adjust upper thread tension dial (3-6 for most fabrics).

Stitch Selection

Machine includes utility, decorative, and stretch stitches.

  2. Zigzag Stitch (4-6): Finishing edges, appliqué, mending.
  3. Stretch Stitches (7-15): Knits and stretch fabrics.

  6. Blind Hem (57): Nearly invisible hemming.
  7. Overcast (58-60): Edge finishing to prevent fraying.

Tip: Test stitch on scrap fabric before sewing project. Adjust tension if needed.

Threading & Bobbin

Proper threading ensures smooth operation.

  1. Upper Threading: Follow numbered path from spool pin to needle.
  2. Automatic Needle Threader: Push lever down, hook thread, release lever.
  3. Bobbin Winding: Place spool on pin, thread through guides, wind evenly.
  4. Bobbin Insertion: Drop bobbin into case with thread running counterclockwise.
  5. Thread Pick-up: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel to bring up bobbin thread.

WARNING! Always raise presser foot when threading. Lower presser foot before sewing.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance.

  1. Unplug machine before cleaning.
  2. Remove needle plate screws and clean lint from feed dogs and bobbin area.
  3. Use small brush to remove dust and lint.
  4. Oil moving parts with sewing machine oil (2-3 drops monthly).
  5. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth.

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air as it can force lint deeper into machine. Never spray cleaners directly on machine.
