Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|

| Thread bunching underneath | Incorrect threading, bobbin inserted wrong | Re-thread top and bobbin, ensure bobbin turns counterclockwise |
| Needle breaks | Wrong needle type, bent needle, incorrect insertion | Replace with correct needle type, ensure flat side faces back |
| Skipped stitches | Dull needle, wrong needle for fabric, incorrect tension | Replace needle, use correct needle type, adjust tension |
| Fabric not feeding | Feed dogs lowered, presser foot pressure too light | Raise feed dogs, increase presser foot pressure |
| Uneven stitches | Incorrect tension, dirty tension discs, poor quality thread | Clean tension discs, adjust tension, use quality thread |
Common Issues & Solutions
- Thread breaking: Check for rough spots on needle plate, use better quality thread
- Machine jams: Remove fabric, turn handwheel backward to free mechanism
- Noisy operation: Clean lint from bobbin area, oil moving parts as directed
- Buttonhole issues: Stabilize fabric with interfacing, use appropriate foot
