Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine won't run | Power issue, foot pedal disconnected | Check power supply, ensure foot pedal is properly connected |
| Thread bunching underneath | Incorrect threading, wrong bobbin insertion | Re-thread top and bobbin, ensure bobbin turns clockwise when pulled |
| Skipped stitches | Dull/bent needle, incorrect needle type | Replace needle with correct type (130/705H), ensure proper insertion |
| Fabric not feeding | Feed dogs lowered, incorrect pressure setting | Raise feed dogs, adjust presser foot pressure for fabric thickness |
| Uneven stitches | Incorrect tension, thread quality issues | Adjust tension dial, use quality thread of same weight top and bottom |
| Noisy operation | Lack of lubrication, lint buildup | Clean lint from bobbin area, oil moving parts with sewing machine oil |
Common Issues & Solutions
- Thread Breaking: Check for rough spots on needle plate, use better quality thread
- Needle Breaking: Ensure needle is properly inserted, avoid pulling fabric while sewing
- Machine Jams: Remove fabric, turn handwheel backward to free mechanism, clean bobbin area
- Poor Buttonholes: Use stabilizer fabric, test on scrap material first
- Inconsistent Speed: Clean foot pedal contacts, check power cord connections
- Oil Stains on Fabric: Wipe excess oil before sewing, use oil sparingly
