Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on stable, flat surface.

  3. Thread upper thread: Follow numbered path from spool to needle.
  4. Use needle threader: Push lever down to hook thread through needle eye.
  5. Pull up bobbin thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel toward you.

WARNING! Always use correct bobbin type. Do not force thread through tension disks.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Unplug before maintenance. Clean lint from bobbin area and feed dogs regularly.

  1. Remove needle plate screws and lift plate.
  2. Use small brush to remove lint from bobbin area and feed dogs.
  3. Oil moving parts as per manual instructions (use sewing machine oil only).
  4. Replace needle regularly (every 8-10 hours of sewing).

CAUTION! Do not use compressed air; it can force lint deeper. Never oil plastic parts.
