Unpacking and Setup

Carefully unpack all components and place the machine on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove the machine from the box and all protective packaging.
  2. Attach the power cord to the machine and plug into a standard 120V AC outlet.

  5. Raise the presser foot lever and install the all-purpose presser foot.

First-Time Use

Before sewing your first stitch, complete these setup steps.

  1. Wind the bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through bobbin winder tension, and wind bobbin evenly.
  2. Insert the bobbin: Open the bobbin cover, drop in the bobbin with thread unwinding counterclockwise, pull thread through the slot.
  3. Thread the upper thread: Follow the numbered threading path on the machine, ending with the automatic needle threader.

Threading the Machine

Proper threading is essential for smooth operation.

  1. Raise the presser foot and needle to highest position using the handwheel.

  3. Follow the numbered threading guide: through first thread guide, around tension discs, through take-up lever, down to needle area.
  4. Use the automatic needle threader: Push lever down, hook thread through needle eye, release lever to pull thread through.
  5. Pull both upper and bobbin threads under the presser foot toward the back.

Tip: Always thread with the presser foot raised to open the tension discs.

Stitch Selection and Settings

Select stitches based on your sewing project.

  1. Straight Stitch: For seams, topstitching; adjust length for fabric weight.
  2. Zigzag Stitch: For finishing edges, sewing stretch fabrics; adjust width for desired effect.
  3. Blind Hem Stitch: For nearly invisible hems on garments.
