Unpacking and Setup

Carefully unpack all components and place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine and accessories from packaging.
  2. Attach the free arm (if detached) by sliding into place.
  3. Connect the foot pedal to the machine port.
  4. Plug the power cord into the machine and then into a 120V AC outlet.

Getting Started

Power on the machine; the LED light will illuminate.

  1. Winding the Bobbin: Place thread on spool pin, guide through tension disc, wind onto bobbin using bobbin winder.
  2. Inserting the Bobbin: Place bobbin into the top drop-in case with thread running counterclockwise.
  3. Threading the Upper Thread: Follow numbered path on machine; use automatic needle threader lever.
  4. Selecting a Stitch: Turn the stitch selection dial to desired pattern.
  5. Adjusting Tension: Refer to fabric guide; adjust upper thread tension dial if needed.

CAUTION! Always raise the needle to its highest position before threading or changing presser feet.

Using Built-in Stitches

Includes utility, stretch, decorative, and buttonhole stitches.

  1. Select stitch using dial (refer to stitch guide).
  2. Adjust length and width as needed for fabric and pattern.
  3. For buttonholes: Attach buttonhole foot, select buttonhole stitch, place fabric, and start sewing; machine will sew one complete buttonhole automatically.
  4. For decorative stitches: Use stabilizer underneath lightweight fabrics.
  5. For stretch stitches: Use for knit fabrics to prevent popped seams.

WARNING! Always use the correct presser foot for the selected stitch to avoid damage.

Maintenance & Cleaning

Unplug machine before cleaning. Remove lint and dust regularly.

  1. Remove needle plate screws and clean feed dog area with brush.
  2. Clean bobbin case area with small brush.
