Unpacking and Setup

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Remove machine from box: Lift by the carrying handle, not by the free arm.
  2. Attach foot pedal: Connect pedal to machine port, then plug power cord into outlet.
  3. Install needle: Loosen needle clamp screw, insert needle with flat side to the back, tighten.
  4. Wind bobbin: Follow bobbin winding instructions in section 8.

WARNING! Keep fingers away from needle area during setup and operation. Ensure machine is unplugged when not in use.

First-Time Operation

  4. Insert Bobbin: Drop bobbin into case with thread clockwise, pull thread under tension spring.
  5. Bring Up Bobbin Thread: Hold upper thread, turn handwheel to lower and raise needle, pull up bobbin thread.

WARNING! Ensure presser foot is raised when threading upper thread to engage tension discs.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  2. Remove needle plate screws; clean lint from feed dogs and bobbin area with brush.
